LOVE seeing those little people and the subway photo..thanks for the relief that it was NOT true.."lost in the subway"...Cara,we are so glad to visualize some of the team..Lucy and Shelly and Katheryn..let us see the whole team sometime...Do you have a place and time for worship with them separate times since not at the camp times? I realize that unconditional loving is the key to reaching out to those kids, but FOR YOUR OWN nurturance and accountability and strength..is there a regular time for you and your team DAILY or in the evening DAILY to pray together for each others needs, concerns and lift each other up? If not, start one!! (smile) I appreciate the assistance to Lilli (working and doing dinner and clean up)and we know you are working hard\ and having joy and new adventures some as well ...Just be discerning with your health choices..and sleep...How's it going for the heat and sleepessness and late late hours of life there, eating at 11 pm?? DO take care of your special little self, ya hear? Much much love,Your parents, M and B (Honeybunny asks for you daily)
Hi Cara, What fun I have had reading your blog. It is one thing to read about it when you get home. It is much better to read about your experiences as you feel them. I can feel them with you in almost 'real time'. First of all thank you for taking the time to jot down your happenings. As time goes along, you may be too exhausted to write and so this is considered a gift. Your first week was certainly fun and engaging. Now you can take the time to develop those deeper relationships which will win their heart to you and eventually to your Savior. I so remember what an asset you were on our Jamaica trip and I know you will be there in Spain as well. Don and I are bringing your name before the Throne of Grace daily. Be assured that you are in our thoughts, minds, and interests as you grow through this summer experience. I am eager to read more as you make entries. . . May God bless you. With Love, Don & Joanne Waliszek
Great pictures! What a wonderful adventure. A capstone after finishing high school, with many more to come (adventures, which is what life is). Take care and keep that sunny smile always plastered on your face.
Hi Cara, I'm a high school friend of your mom's. She was kind enough to share you adventure journal with me. Saying a prayer that God will bless your gift of your time and talent to the kids in Spain.
Cara, Lovely fotos! Thanks for sharing them. Our prayer is that you infect and infuse Chicos de Broadway (Let the little children come to Me...)with Son-Love and Son-Shine. As you are drawing close to Him, He is drawing close to you and thus close to Chicos de Broadway. He is Able!
Then he said to me, "This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty. Zech 4:6
Cara, I'm so thrilled for you! Thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us. Its so inspiring to hear and feel your faith and your passion. Know that many here are with you in spirit! Love, Deb Erickson-Irons

Wendy Fountain: Thank you and I have been smiling a lot here...espessially when I dont understand what the children are saying to me in Spainish. :D Hope your family is well, I have been thinking about York Street a lot lately and the precious friendships there. I am so blessed by you all! Cheryl S.: How fun! My mom told me about your connection, how cool God is! Thank you for your prayers and interest in my life :) Charles P.: Thank you for that verse, you would find it so interesting the approach they use here in Europe to bring people to Christ...It is completely showing God´s love through actions rather forming barriers by meaningless words. I look forward to telling you all about it when I return, because it is such a wonderful but complex concept. I have also been praying about who to give those wooden tokens to. God will bring me these people and Im sure they will be such a blessing...Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement! Deb: Thank you so much for your words, faith is truly the only way I can get through the day as they are long and time is limited. Your support is so appreciated! Hope Maine is staying healthy :P...Its gross, everyone smokes in Europe... much love to you and your family as well!
